Happy Christmas

Wah ga’ kerasa ya besok natal. Padahal rasanya baru kemarin aja. Kalo uda Natal gini, pengennya denger lagu Natal terus. Kalo ga’ nonton Home Alone. Dah gitu ga’ tau kenapa suasana jadi beda aja. Semangat Natal kerasa banget. Emang deh, natal itu my fave season ever!

Cara orang rayain natal beda-beda. Ada yang khusyuk banget. Ada yang musti gede-gedean. Semua tergantung orangnya. Kadang gw suka bingung, ngapain sih natal musti hura-hura?? Gw suka bingung deh sama gereja yang bilang kalo natal harus dirayakan secara besar-besaran. Dah gitu dibilang karena Tuhan yang ngomong sama gembala sidangnya. Sumpeeehh looo??? Well ya itu sih terserah orangnya ya. Tapi eneg aja kalo sampe bilang Tuhan yang ngomong.

Meskipun gw lom pernah denger lagu itu, but I really love the lyrics. Bukankah itu ngewakilin makna Natal sebenarnya?? Yesus adalah Natal yang sebenernya. Natal jadi lebih terasa ‘dalam’ bila kita doing useful things. Contohnya rayain sama anak-anak jalanan. Sehabis malam natal di gereja, kita bagiin bungkusan gitu ke perkampungan kumuh. Berbagi sukacita natal sama mereka, apalagi kalo mereka belum kenal Yesus. Moment yang tepat tuk bawa mereka kenal Yesus kan?? Sukacita yang kita dapat pasti berkali-kali lipat lebih dahsyat. Buat sukacita natal lebih terasa. Gw jamin, Yesus pasti lebih suka kita lakuin hal-hal itu daripada liat kita rayain dengan hura-hura ga’ jelas.

Somehow not only for Christmas, but all the long year through, the joy that you give to others is the joy that comes back to you.
